Kansas Broadband Internet was founded in November 2002 by a group of telecommunications professionals who desired Secure Reliable High Speed Internet access to their rural Saline County homes. They then recognized the opportunity to provide high speed internet service to their friends and neighbors.

Kansas Broadband chose only the best wireless broadband equipment available. Wireless was chosen as the best solution to provide these services because it did not depend on the limitations of legacy telephone and cable TV infrastructure. The network was designed from the outset for high-speed data services using Ethernet and Internet Protocol (IP) technologies. This simplicity results in lower equipment costs, lower maintenance costs, and greater overall performance.

Kansas Broadband's mission is to reduce the ‘Digital Divide’ in rural Kansas by providing quality high speed Internet services at reasonable prices with superior customer service.
